Marco Joven Domínguez (he/him)Education Programs Fellow

Marco Joven Domínguez (he/him) is the Education Programs Fellow at One Institute through the Harvard Mindich Service Fellowship Program.

Marco is a rising senior at Harvard University, studying Philosophy with a secondary field in Educational Studies. He identifies as Mexican-American and is originally from the San Fernando Valley, California. Marco’s firsthand experiences with educational injustice in LAUSD schools triggered his interests in education and educational policy supporting the needs of first-generation, low-income students of color in Los Angeles and beyond.

Prior to joining One Institute, Marco served as an Education Associate for United Way of Greater Los Angeles, where he supported research on students’ needs for a successful return to in-person learning post-pandemic. He has also interned in Mexico, conducting educational research on the design and implementation of educational strategies and programs.

Marco believes in the power of arts, technology, and culture to promote educational equity, and, thus, serves on the executive boards of arts, music technology, and cultural affinity groups at Harvard. Outside of school, Marco enjoys curating alternative playlists, going on walks, and spending time with his friends.
