Learn and Write Our History
We’re going back to the future of queer learning!
One Institute is offering a series of classes on LGBTQ history for students of all ages. Our expert instructors provide their insights and practices in hour-long online classes and workshops over Zoom.
This class series harkens back to who we once were, the ONE Institute. In 1956, the first course “An Introduction to Homophile Studies” was offered. In 1981, ONE Institute became the first accredited institution of higher learning in the United States to offer masters and doctoral degrees in Homophile Studies. Now in 2020, we’re bringing back what was once an important intellectual nexus of LGBTQ knowledge.
“Tuition” for each class is priced at $10. We encourage you to give more money if you are able. All proceeds from the ONE Institute Summer Session support our Education Programs that promote teaching accurate and authentic stories of LGBTQ lives in K-12 schools.
